Data‑bearing — special review

These devices can hold company data. They are captured by serial and follow the data-bearing path: a logged wipe, or storage physically destroyed. Nothing is marked wiped without a record.

Possible paths after inspection

  1. 01Wiped (logged) and refurbished for reuse
  2. 02Donated where a recipient is arranged and documented
  3. 03Storage destroyed, parts recovered, remainder recycled onward
Where an item ends up depends on its condition after inspection — nothing is decided in advance.
